About Me

Born a 10th generation Oregonian, (5 generations on each side) I have an enthusiasm for learning and teaching new things. Trained in Graphic Design principles at Mt. Hood Community College in the 90s and I haven’t stopped creating digital art since. After a ten year mini career in the dental field I moved on to research, web design and expanded to news reporting.

As the “Internet Program Director” for myMotherLode.com since 2008. With over 500,000 visitors and 1.5 million page views I have experienced the pressure to deliver fast, accurate information in emergency situations with traffic to such articles exceeding 30k page views each. Worked on many website redesigns and maintained the look and feel of multiple brands. Manage the social media page for over 27k followers with viral posts getting 900+ comments and monthly post views averaging of over 900k. Mange YouTube page with live streaming, editing and posting videos with 1,800 subscribers. Manage three newsletter lists totaling over 10,000 contacts.

Successfully managed five IT/Sys Admin transitions including to the current off premises contractor, worked with three managers including the current manager who hired me in 2008 and is now the new owner-manager, maintaining business continuity and improving digital performance. Coordinated the launch of an update to the website’s WordPress core, plugins, and theme between the Sys Admin and design team. The two groups had not worked together before and the update was deployed on time, within budget, with no interruptions to normal operations. Management is delighted with the current faster, more flexible, and stable implementation. Taught digital literacy workshops for seniors and community groups.
